Liebherr models in 1:50 scale
Liebherr is the brand you simply cannot avoid in this collector's niche. No other manufacturer covers as many construction site tasks — and none is translated into models as frequently or as precisely. This page brings together everything we offer that is based on a Liebherr prototype, regardless of which model manufacturer built it.
Which Liebherr machines are available as collector models
The largest part consists of mobile cranes and hydraulic excavators — from compact city machines to nine-axle lattice boom giants. In addition, there are wheel loaders, truck mixers, crawler cranes, mobile construction cranes, bulldozers, crawler loaders, and telehandlers. Most models are in 1:50 scale; some individual machines are also available in 1:87.
Who builds the models
The majority come from Conrad Modelle — die-cast zinc, factory versions, and many customer liveries. WSI Models primarily contributes large cranes and mining machines and is known for its print quality. NZG builds classic factory models. Our brand comparison explains which brand stands for what.
Why the item number is more important than the machine name
An LTM 1070-4.1 is not just an LTM 1070-4.1. The same crane is released in different customer liveries, and these are only distinguished by the item number: 2100/20 bears the Knaack branding, 2100/45 that of H&N Krane, and 2100/27 that of Wilden from Wuppertal. The model name tells you which machine you are getting. The item number tells you which version. Anyone looking for a specific haulage company should therefore always go by the number.
What to look for in a crane model
With Liebherr cranes, the mechanics determine the collector's value: can the telescopic boom actually be extended, is the cable routing realistically installed, are the outriggers movable, and is the loose accessory set complete? And one point that many underestimate: a 1:50 mobile crane with an extended boom needs significantly more space than the footprint in the display case might suggest. Matching outrigger pads and crane hooks are part of the presentation.
Buying Liebherr models — in a nutshell
All Liebherr prototypes in one place, sorted by new arrivals. You can also find them in a broader context under construction machinery models and crane models. We intentionally keep sold-out models listed — they are part of the brand's history, even if they are no longer available.
