Meiller Models 1:50 – when the body is the brand
Meiller doesn't build trucks. Meiller builds what sits behind the cab – and that is exactly what determines price, edition, and demand among collectors. An Arocs with a Meiller three-way tipper and the same Arocs with a concrete mixer are two different models, even if the cab is the same. We have 14 models with Meiller bodies in stock, all in 1:50 scale.
Five types of bodies
Three-way tippers (6) are the largest group – they tip to the rear and to both sides. Two of them come as a combination with a low-loader trailer, three as an NZG version on the Mercedes-Benz Arocs 8x4 in gray, blue, and neutral.
Rear tippers (3) only tip to the rear, but with a larger volume – once on a MAN TGS NN, twice on the Arocs.
The TRIGENIUS D421 (2) is Meiller's skip loader system and the most interesting item in the assortment: We offer it on both chassis, otherwise identical.
Skip loaders (2) pick up containers – once in the PRAJO’S livery, once for STORK on a three-axle MAN TGS TM. One hook loader comes as a set with a roll-carrier on the MAN TGX GM.
The item number reveals the chassis
Conrad organizes Meiller bodies according to the vehicle underneath: Numbers with 812xx are on MAN, numbers with 782xx are on the Mercedes-Benz Arocs. This collection proves the rule twice over – the TRIGENIUS D421 is available as 81255/07 on the MAN TGS TN and as 78255/0 on the Arocs, the rear tipper as 81259/04 and as 78259/0. Same body, different chassis, different numbering series.
Anyone who knows which chassis they are looking for can identify it by the first three digits. And as is the case everywhere at Conrad, the livery is indicated after the slash.
Why a separate page for a body manufacturer
Because people search for it. Anyone who collects a specific municipal or construction company knows their body manufacturer – and searches for "Meiller three-way tipper," not "MAN TGS." All 14 models here additionally feature a MAN or Mercedes-Benz prototype; this page cuts across both.
What to look out for
The trough: It should be able to be lifted and held in the raised position. For the three-way tipper, this includes the side walls being able to open individually.
The lifting system: With the TRIGENIUS and the skip loader, the mobility of the arms determines whether a container can actually be picked up or just sits next to it.
The trailer: Two of the three-way tippers come as a combination. Factor in the total length, not just that of the motor vehicle.
